An exhibition of works by Brussels-based Lebanese-Armenian artist, sculptor, and painter Jean Boghossian opened at the United Nations Office at Geneva on May 23.
The exhibition titled “ceasefire” has been organized by joint efforts of the Resident Representatives of Armenia, Lebanon, Belgium and Francophonie in the UN Office.
Addressing the participants, Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Andranik Hovhannisyan noted, in part, that by using the fire and smoke in his works, painter Jean Boghossian shows that those can symbolize not only war and destruction, but also serve the art of creating and living a beautiful life.
He underlined that “culture and art as universal values provide the best opportunity for sending a message of peace and co-existence.
Ambassador Hovhannisyan highly appreciated the charity activities the Poghossian Foundation has been carrying out in Armenia for years.
The exhibition will be open to public for two months.
